Some words about INCT ADAPTA

The INCT ADAPTA seeks a New Era in the study of adaptations of aquatic organisms in the Amazon by complimenting classical studies of biology with modern technological methods of analysis.

INCT ADAPTA is really outstanding as an advanced project that generates knowledge, disseminates results and develops training programs for post-graduates and primary as well as secondary science education. The project just completed the connection of a bioinformatics service in Manaus and Coari to build a robust biological database, both environmental and molecular. Further it will duplicate the publication of scientific results in journals of wide circulation, decode this information to be read by children and youth. And also it is our desire to set up an internet portal, where participants and the general public can interact with ADAPTA researchers to exchange experience in real time at the field and laboratories in the Amazon and around the World.
